Recently, we were honored and humbled to accept a donation from the estate of Earl Slater, Jr. Mr. Slater was a lifelong Meriden resident, a teacher in Meriden until his retirement in 1982, and a lover of opera. Mr. Slater will live on in the lives his bequest will enable us to save, and we will honor him in our work with the animals he so deeply cared about.
